Department of Multimedia and Mass Communication

Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia and Mass Communication (BAMMC) program has been introduced in Patkar Varde College from 2006-2007 with the aim to offer the students a concrete ground for developing good communication skills. Program provides the students with a perfect blend of theoretical programme and practical applications. The course includes through comprehensive research, logical writing skills, verbal presentation skills and a thorough knowledge of several mass media of this information age. In the year 2009-10 the intake capacity was increased to 120 students.

Program divided in six semesters and three years. The entire program is of 120 credits. The program is tutored by a diverse faculty drawn from the ranks of academics and practitioners to expand learners’ horizons of experiences and to expose them to a plethora of views. In the third year, the students choose either Journalism or Advertising as their major and specialise in their chosen area. The number of courses, pattern of examination and the minimum requirements for qualification will be as per the University and College guidelines.
