The department of Chemistry was established in 1964. The department has produced more than 35 research students, both M. Sc. By Res and Ph. D. So far the Department has published more than 175 research publications in various National and International Journals. The department has two teachers in Professor grade. The Chemspark Association of the department performs various academic activities for the UG, PG and research students (both M. Sc. By Res. and Ph.D.) students. It also conducts workshops for teachers Chemspark Association felicitates the T.Y.B.Sc. toppers and the M. Sc. Toppers students from the College every year. It also organizes the lectures of resource persons on various topics. Workshop on Spectroscopy for PG & Research students and Chemistry Festival ; ALKIMIYA, for all students. The department staff motivates the students to participate in inter an intra college competitions. In Academic year 2022 – 23 our chemistry students bagged gold medal at Aavishkar – Inter university research festival held at S.P.P.University, pune.
