General Information

The Department of Physics was established in 1964. It was a significant milestone in the institution's history. Subsequently, in 1976, the department introduced its Postgraduate (PG) course in Physics, further contributing to its growth and academic offerings. In 2010, the Department of Physics achieved another notable milestone by introducing its Ph.D. program, further enhancing its academic offerings and research opportunities. This expansion allowed students to pursue advanced studies and research in the field of Physics, solidifying the department's reputation as a hub for scientific exploration and education.
